Adventure Island 3 for the NES, released by Hudson Soft in 1992, is the third thrilling chapter in the Adventure Island saga. This engaging side-scroller expands on previous games by adding new gameplay mechanics. You guide Higgins, now able to crouch, through vibrant stages with his trusty new dinosaur companion, a triceratops. While backtracking is removed, Higgins wields a boomerang alongside his traditional weapons. The enhanced inventory system allows holding up to eight items, and players can explore new hidden rooms, treasure chambers, and bonus rounds.
